What is TED Express?

TED Express is a web-based application created by SecureDock® and is designed to provide you and your clients with an easy and secure way to transmit sensitive or large file sets from any internet-connected computer or device. No software installation is required, and your clients DO NOT need a login or password to send you files securely. TED Express protects your client’s sensitive information by removing the typical exposures that occur when documents are distributed via standard email.

How does it work?

TED Express leverages SecureDock’s unique File Transfer Process, which focuses on “link” transmission using AES 256-bit and P2P encryption. All file packages sent or received using TED Express remain encrypted at rest, pending distribution, and through distribution.


Inbound Link Set-Up Instructions

  1. Login to your SecureDock account by visiting https://www.mysecuredock.com/m
  2. Click on My URLs on the left.
  3. Copy your TED Express Inbound URL or pre-made hyperlink to your clipboard.
  4. Paste your link to the bottom of your email signature block, or your company’s website.
  5. Send yourself a test document to ensure it is set up correctly and experience how people can send you secure files.

Microsoft Outlook (Desktop Version)

  1. Copy your TED Express Inbound URL or pre-made hyperlink to your clipboard
  2. Open Microsoft Outlook and create a new email message.
  3. On the Message tab, in the Include group, click Signature, and then click “Signatures
  4. Select your existing Email Signature.
    Highlight the “Click Here” text and then select the hyperlink icon capture
  5. Paste your TED Express Inbound URL or pre-made hyperlink your signature block.
  6. Click Save

Microsoft Outlook 365 (Web Version)

  1. Open up your Microsoft 365 Outlook
  2. On the nav bar, choose Settings Settings icon > Options.
  3. Under Options, choose MAIL > Layout > Email signature.
  4. Paste your provided TED Express Inbound Link into the text area.
  5. Save Changes

Gmail

  1. Open Gmail. Click on the Gear icon and choose settings.
  2. Go to the General tab, then scroll to Signatures.
  3. Paste your provided TED Express Inbound Link into the text area.
  4. To format the text, select the text, and then use the style and formatting buttons to select the options that you want.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom and save your settings.

AOL Mail

  1. Click Set Mail Signature from the menu in AOL.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Give the Signature a name (Under Signature Name).
  4. Paste your TED Express Inbound Link into the text area.
  5. To format the text, select the text, and then use the style and formatting buttons to select the options that you want.
  6. Click OK to save.

  1. Sender / client clicks on the email signature link to open the SecureDock landing page.

 

  1. From the landing page, sender / client must click on the reCAPTCHA checkbox to verify that they are human. This will redirect them to the TED Express upload page with the account holder’s name displayed in the header area.

 

  1. Sender / client can follow the simple instructions to complete their secure file transfer.

Step 1: Choose the documents(s) that you want to send
Sender / client can open any file folder on their computer, and then drag and drop multiple files into the selection field or click on the “Browse” button to manually select one or more files from their device. 

Step 2: Enter sender’s information
Sender must input name, email address and Reference ID (optional) into the required fields

*A Reference ID is separate identifier that is intended to help your recipient keep track of your file package. (Example: Loan ID, Policy #, Case #, etc..).

+Add a message
Instructions to recipient: Instructions will be displayed within the body of the email notifications and is not part of the secure file package.

Secure Message to recipient: Secure message will automatically be encrypted and will only be visible to your recipient after they have entered their user verification. 

+Email Notifications
Sender can select which automated email notifications they would like to receive. Addition CC or BCC email addresses may also be added here.

Step 3: Click Send
Once the files have finished uploading, a confirmation pop-up will be displayed with options to Send Another Doc or Exit the page.

*During upload, files will automatically be encrypted and delivered to the account holder’s inbox. Sender will also receive a confirmation email as well as a download confirmation once the recipient has retrieved the files.
